FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions1.For the Temp Control option, what's the difference between block and tube? And do we really need to select the option if we use the full 96 well qPCR Plate?Module-based control monitors the temperature of the heating block;Tube-based control monitors the actual temperature of the reaction liquid inside the tube. For example, when the set temperature is 95 °C: Module-based control: Timing starts once the block temperature reaches 95 °C. Tube-based control: Timing starts only when the liquid inside the tube actually reaches 95 °C. Regardless of how many wells you have, you must choose a control method. Of course, you can also set a default method in the tool.
2.Can the FMR-5S be connected with mouse and keyboard?Yes,we provide a mouse in the packing box.
3.The gradient is for each individual holes, row, or column?Column
4.Can all of this analysis parameter must be set before the experiment, or can it be used after the experiment is done?Simply ensure the correct experiment type is selected, the experiment protocol is set up correctly, and the fluorescence channels are activated properly. Other options can be configured after the experiment concludes.
5.Can hard disk be connected?Theoretically, it is possible. This instrument essentially functions as a computer with a built-in Windows system. However,I need to double-check with the engineer.
6.Any idea with regards to the printers, like models, or types? I saw that the printer option can be used but its not mentioned hereMost common printers on the market can be connected.
7.If we don't select the whole plate, would the signal of the whole plate still be measured?Yes, the whole plate's signals will be detected. After the experiment, you can use the plate setting to configure which wells to display.
8.What does Marlow customized Petlier module mean? and what's the benefit?Marlow Customized Peltier Modules refer to the customized thermoelectric cooling modules produced by Marlow Industries, USA. These modules are primarily used in high-precision temperature control scenarios such as medical equipment and PCR instruments. Based on the Peltier effect, these modules achieve solid-state cooling/heating through semiconductor materials, supporting precise temperature control.
9. For Genotyping, what's the minimum detection limit and max detection limit? Our genotyping is dependent on the fluorescence amplification extent. Currently, there is no detection limit on the instrument, but with the reagent, there is. For example, if the concentration is too low, the amplification extent will be very small.
