Anlotinib is a new, orally administered tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR), fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), and stem cell factor receptor (c-Kit) [1] Anlotinib showed a significant inhibitory effect on VEGF/PDGF-BB/FGF-2-induced angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo [2]. Anlotinib has been approved in china as a third-line therapy in patients with refractory advanced non-small-cell lung cancer. Anlotinib is also undergoing phase II and/or III clinical development for various sarcomas and carcinomas [3]
